About the event
This is a moderate hike of about 2 miles round trip. The destination has an incredible archeological/architectural feature!
The trails we will hike are Thompson’s Trail, 400 years and Africa Unite. The song “400 Years” was written and sung by Peter Tosh while he was a member of Bob Marley and the Wailers.
If you are an artist, poet, musician, dancer or actor, bring you tools and instruments and find your muse. If you just want to explore, you can do that. Bring water and a snack for hydration and energy. We will spend 30-60 minutes at the destination and then return to the parking area.
Windsor Farms Trails are on USVI Department of Agriculture land and is the location of the last working dairy farm on St. Croix. The trail system was developed by the Virgin Islands Trail Alliance https://vitrails.org/ in cooperation with AARP, My Brother’s Workshop, and the UVI Cooperative Extension Service. The trails are used for hiking and mountain biking and open to the public daily from Sunrise to Sunset. Feel free to hike other trails after the Pride Hike.

From Ville La Reine Shopping Center, drive north to Salt River Road, take the first left onto Bougainvillea Drive (Windsor Rd.), then the third right onto the dirt road leading to the trailhead/parking area. (The first 2 right turns are driveways into roadside homes.) The dirt road is drivable by sedan/SUV/truck. The parking area is at the former milking barn, about 0.33 miles from the turn off of Bougainvillea Drive.
